Jon Snow was able to become King of the North without any birthright claim. His courage, loyalty, and strength to survive earned him this title.

Yet, the power within his blood is undeniable. Since he is the only direct living descendant of King Aegon the Conqueror (the original ‘Dragon’), this makes Jon/Aegon the rightful ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.

Iron Throne

from Stark bastard to rightful blood heir

Jon Snow spent the majority of his life believing he was the bastard son of Ned Stark. The Starks raised him as their own, but he was always treated as less, as you can see him standing behind the rest of the family in this photo.

Decades of his life passed by until he learned that his real parents where Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, making him Aegon Targaryen, and giving him a birthright claim to the Iron Throne.
